David Mach's Gorilla

A number of the talented folk at APT have been asked by David Mach to produce another in his series of coat-hanger contructions. This one is a gorilla.

The plaster model stands about 8ft high, is about 10ft long and is as heavy and convincing as the real thing. But, if that's not scary enough it needs to be remade, wrapped in effect, in coathangars by about mid-September. And when I spoke to them they reckoned that it would take about 32 person/days labour just to do the welding.

So, they're looking for lots of people (perhaps as many as 20!) capable of doing it beautifully - and if you're not yet weld-friendly then they reckon they can show you how. You don't have to offer to do the full stint, if you can do a week that'd be good, maybe even the odd day or nightshift - depends how the timing pans out.

At this moment I don't have details of the right person to get in touch with so the best thing to do if you want to be part of it - and I've no doubt it'll be a right laugh - is email info@dontasknothing.com and leave your details.
dNA will pass them on.

As soon as I get the right contact (in the next day or so) I'll put it up here...
